Just put together this mini version of Jennifer Rizzo's Valentine Banner this morning. It was easy-peasy to make with Jen's free printables. Later I added the paper lace trim, shown in the photo below.

More Inspiration . . .

Heather held another of her infamous Petite Inspiration Box Swaps a little while ago which I took part in. I just love these small scale swaps of hers. I think they are my favorite. Who can't use a little box full of trinkets and artsy goodies to inspire you to create something beautiful? As you can see, my swap partners Cassandra and Marti went all-out decorating their boxes their tiny boxes.

Vintage Hat Boxes

I was so inspired by Jessica Enig's pretty little hat box project featured in the March 2011 issue of Romantic Homes Magazine, that I decided to make a few myself to give to some special friends I was seeing for lunch yesterday.

I used this lavender, aqua and green floral vintage wallpaper that I bought ages ago to cover the paper mache boxes.

The girls just loved them and now I have to find some time to make one for myself!

Literary Paper Crafting!

I've been doing some last minute holiday crafting over here. I'll post a few other items I made in a day or two, but right now I wanted to share this Paperback Book Tree I made. Well here they are. . . .fresh new springtime kits have just been listed in my Etsy Shop. Pictured above is my Spring Collage Kit that is featured on the Joli Paquet blog. But I couldn't stop at just one. . . .I put together this Easter Basket Kit based on my tutorial which I posted on Joli Paquet last week. I switched it up a little and used different papers and colors.

The sweet envelope for this Valentine card is from Teresa McFayden's Paper Romance E-Zine.

I used a cupcake liner-turned-rosette as the base. The large chipboard heart is sprayed with Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist. Small paper doily is from Martha Stewart Crafts. The damask heart is a rubber stamped image (from Michael's) embossed with clear embossing powder for a little sheen.

Valentine Peeks

Guess what? The sun is shining this morning here. I can't even remember the last time I've seen it's cheery face, but it sure does put a smile of MY face!

ROD Journal Swap

I told you that I have been making a new journal as a part of Mary Ann Moss' Remains of the Day class. These are some pages I made for a class swap. Everyone seems to have a different style, so it's fun to stir the pot and mix it up a little to add some variety to our journals.
