Love Is In The Air

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. We took a quick trip up to the cottage and had a bunch of things going on this past weekend. I promised I would post pictures of my white feather tree when I switched it from Christmas to Valentine's Day, so here it is. It's fun to collect different heart ornaments for it.
This valentine spread is on top of my baby grand piano. The piano is special to me because it was my grandmothers. Four generations have tickled those ivories.
The above photo is taken in my family room. The chocolates are actually little candles that I got one year at Homegoods.

We have been having the weirdest weather here in the midwest. On Sunday it was 63 degrees which I think broke a some sort of record. Our snow is all gone and it's been raining so the sky is bleak and gray. I hate that ~ I want some sunshine!

I just got word that there is a time issue with the place we were going to have my daughter's wedding this fall. So now we have to find another localation. Does anyone have any novel ideas for where to have a wedding ceremony other than a church? The wedding's in November so an outdoor site is out of the question.

So cute! I love the Valentine tree! I should have snagged a white tree over Christmas to do that too! I know I'm a copycat...but it's so adorable!!

I love your Valentines tree!! gee, I should have bought those little white trees I saw around Christmas...which I didn't like, but seeing it could be used for other holidays could keep the craft room festive. How about a Veterans hall?

LOVE your decor!

I've been to a few beautiful ceremonies at museums...don't know if that helps or not.

*A Deck of Me* is getting off to a crazy start...40 members and counting! The invitation is still open :)

Jeanne, for some reason I did not even realize you were planning your daughter's wedding!! How exciting.
I have a couple of ideas for non church weddings. A country club, they very often rent out spaces for weddings and usually have gorgeous spaces to do it, and scenery too!
Some catering places are are set up to do weddings, and have really stunning surroundings.
Some historical homes or buildings allow you to do weddings.
I did not get married in a church and we did a lot of research. So email me if you want to talk more about it.
Love your valentine tree too. I was thinking of leaving my white studio tree up through Valentines day and maybe even Easter. I am not sure if I have much to put on it though! :0)

Good Luck finding a new wedding venue. You know, I've played violin at so many weddings, I'm trying to think where.... there was one in a kind of country club/golf course. It was really beautiful. There was another one in a historic mansion.

I know you'll find something wonderful :)
